AvaTrade Partner Code 128979: The Real Story

I get asked about partner codes constantly. Always the same thing: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?

No. AvaTrade charges zero commission on forex. You pay the spread. That's the cost. A partner code doesn't change that.

Code 128979 unlocks the deposit bonus. Bonus money added to your account based on deposit size. Nothing more complicated than that.

How much do you get?

Put in $1,000, receive $200 bonus.

$2,000 adds $400.

Deposits between $5,000 and $9,999 get $1,000.

Maximum bonus is $14,000 for deposits above $100,000. Most people won't hit that.

UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Scales up to £11,200 maximum.

You can open an account with $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.

Where to enter the code

During registration. After you enter your phone number, you'll see small text reading "Have a Partner Code?". Click the arrow. A text box appears. Type **128979**.

People overlook it constantly because it's hidden.

If you see an error, it's fine. Complete your registration. Message your account manager before you deposit. Ask them to add code 128979. Standard practice for them.

You can't withdraw the bonus straight away

There's a volume requirement.

Roughly 10,000 units traded per $1 bonus. You'd need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.
